Default Repairing Auto Trans Shift Handle

I know these things are pricey ... the hole for the set screw on mine is broken through at the bottom, letting the handle 'ride up'

Has anyone thought of a way to repair this? Is there enough room inside to expoy a thin piece of aluminum that you drill a new hole in? Or is the fit too tight against the insides to add anything?

If you cover the shipping you can have mine. I just upgrade to Momo shifter.

I have one you can have also. But I would recommend the one Carl sells at 928MS. It gives the car a whole new feel!

+1

I would ditch the stock T-handle as well. 928 Motorsports has a nice upgraded handle. But I would get the boot from Paul Champagne.

Tom,

Saw your car over at Roger's a while back. Beautiful Car!!

Get rid of that damn stock shifter, it way out-dates the car! Any of the aftermarket, Carl's, Jager, etc, bring the car into 2008

I drove Stretch's "New" 88 S4 auto last weekend. He has a Jager unit, and it looks/feels awesome in his car!!

BTW, hope to see you at 3rd Coast!
