Just go look them up. they have a book and yes, you can get them local, autozone, discount auto. However ROG's price is VERY good.

Make sure you orient them the correct way when installing; they last much longer that way.

And yes, buy them from Roger and support the 928 folks.

$12 apiece is a deal, they will cost $18 at the local parts store. Buy from Roger.

if your hatch shocks are worn out they can usually be used on the hood, (caveat if it takes a bit more force to close the hood then you have hatch shocks on , IE you cant close the hood half way and it will stay there) IIRC the hood shocks supply about 35 pounds and the hatch shocks supply about 100 pounds. in other words if you can`t press the hood shock to close with one hand and the other end of the shock against the ground then you probably have a hatch shock these take 2 hand to hold

Or you could buy them from one of the original Rennlist sponsors for $10.99 and get to talk to Jeanie or Pam in the bargain...

Mrmerlin,
That sure sounds like a good way to bend a hood (bonnet) using 100lb shocks in place of 35 lb ones.

I have seen 928s fitted with hatch shocks on the hood ,there is usually a bulge just past midway on the hood and when the safety catch is released the hood flys up, its also a good way remove the shock locating *****, if you dont have the correct shocks then leave them off.
I took a set off of a a car at a car show as the owner was wondering why his hood was always slamming into the up position when he released the safety catch. I removed them and told him to save these for the hatch and get some hood shocks

Quick Reply: At the local store any other car with same front hood shocks
