are all the gas caps for 928 the same
I could of ben in a rush, not thinking, or my son didnt put it back on Theres lots of cars being parted out, does it have to be the same generation, or will anyone work. I don't need the key, my old one had the lock off 89s4

I think all mine are the same... 81 - 94... I have not tried moving them from one car to another, but they all look the same as do all the keys and the caps take the ignition key (or they are supposed to anyway).

Externally and functionally I think they are all the same. Internally, I have seen one early cap with a different style pawl in the locking mechanism, broken as usual so it couldnt be locked.

Early were metal caps. Probably the same thread though.
