I have ridden bikes since I was 4 years old, I have also ridden a GSXR 600 before I could even touch both feet on the ground. My father always had an array of different sport bikes before he screwed up his life.

No worries, I always get abit weary hearing about a younger person starting to ride a sport bike.

I watched a guy on a ZX14 wipe out right infront of me, this was doing 120 around a sharp corner, his aftermarket exhaust touched down and lifted his rear tire. Not a cool thing to EVER have to see/go through.

My RC51 only gets 32 mpg, not so good for a bike. I think about it when I see a Civic or other small car that is getting better mpg...

I sold a red/black gsxr to buy this BMW... It is a sports bike even though it has hard cases(they come off) It may be a little harder to wheelie but the R1100s is still a pretty quick bike. About the only thing you can't do with is is a rolling burnout. The shaft drive makes the bike want to roll!
