Default Ride Ht. Adjustment on "Non-Adjustable" Front-End

I have an 82 with the Competition Package which includes the shocks, spoiler, front spoiler etc. from the 928S.

From what I can tell from looking at it and reading the WSM's, the shocks are non-adjustable for ride ht. Is there any way to make even small adjustments (like about 10 mm) ride ht adjustments? - Ruf

WSM's mention a shim that fits under the spring in the lower perch.

I've seen some aftermarket things also. One looks like a hard rubber bar with concave sides, you wedge them into the coils right at the ends where they would otherwise be tightest. I'd avoid the crank-in wedge things if possible, since they have a habit of escaping under severe cornering abuse.

The S4 lower perches are somewhat deeper, I installed those, and it worked. I also cut about one inch off the spring to make it clear the upper A arm better.

If you are still running stock parts the front shocks should be green non adjustable Bilstiens.
I would upgrade to the adjustable bilstiens and send the rears back to the factory for rebuild. IIRC they charge $60 per shock.
Thanks
