Default Italian Leather Seats To Sell Or Trade

I have a pair of Sparco Milano 2's to sell or trade that came out of my 1985 S. Here is the link to the details of the seats

http://www.sparcousa.com/pseats_street.asp?id=193

These seats go for just under $1000 new with the $400 leather option. That's about $1400 per seat.

They are fitted right now on tracks to fit in a 928. UNFORTUNATELY, they are too wide to slide all the way back to fit a 6'2" person of my size. They end up hitting the TT tunnel when I try to slide them fully back. I suppose if the carpet and the sound deadening material were removed and a slight modification the the TT tunnel was made, they would work great. I'm just not interested in doing this to make them fit for me. At the farthest back position, I can still fit with no real issues, but I feel like it is just a bit too close for my comfort.

They are used and the photo's make them look more used than they are. If you saw them in person, you'd think they were darn near new. The only issues with them physically is the inner seat back adjustment **** has been removed (before I got the car) to better fit in the car allowing the seat to slide back further. I expect Sparco can supply replacements....they just push right on. There are a couple of scratches on the drivers seat that you can see in the right light, but they're only surface...maybe be repaired if someone cared enough. The leather looks stretched in the photo's but that is exaggerated in the photo's. The one dot on the passenger seat is from a piece of wood that was resting against it. That will go away as the leather moves back to it's memory.

I suspect these seats didn't see much use before I got the car. They are used, but in great looking condition so I won't call them new.

I would like to sell the pair for $1500 or a straight trade for a pair of black 928 seats in close to similar condition. Sport seats would be nice! I am not interested in OB seats. Aftermarket seats that fit for my situation will be considered.

So if you are a person of lesser height or shorter legs, these may be a nice addition to your 928. Are they the best option for a 928?...in all honesty, I don't think so given the fitment but I am sure they will work for many. The tracks can be removed and the seats easily fitted to another type vehicle. Sparco does have tracks for these.

They are ridiculously comfortable and fit like a glove. I actually like them better than the Sport Seats in my GTS. So needless to say, it bums me hard that I cannot use them.

PM me if you are interested.

1. Are they slotted for the submarine belt?

2. Are the original mounting brackets 13 inch on center?

2. Are you sure you can't mount them closer to the doors?

thanx

I am guessing you mean for a 5 pointer. No they are not. (Hope I answered that correctly) You'd bolt to the floor for those.

2. Are the original mounting brackets 13 inch on center?
I hadn't measured. The PO must have made some kind of rig to adapt the seats. I had them apart to clean up his handy work, but in the end, it doesn't work for me. The tracks on there now will unbolt rather easily and what you are left with is the original mounting holes in the base of the seats.
2. Are you sure you can't mount them closer to the doors?
I thought about some kind of offset mounting, but the P brake cover gets in the way. Yes, again, I suppose all this could be modified and I am probably one of the the guys out there that is crafty enough to make these kinds of things work. I just don't have the will for this car. I'd rather just bolt in and go. As for the passenger side, same situation,. I guess you would have to modify the side cover that houses the amp or what have you.

I suspect getting the seats about an inch or so towards the door would make them work. I will see what the response is here. I am not in a rush as I just dove into taking apart and refreshing the bolt ons on the motor. I guess if I don't come up with a buyer/trader, I may just end up modifying these to work.........and then be the envy of everyone....once again.

Visit Sparco's site or call them or just Google Sparco Milano 2's. You will get all the info you need on these seats.
