Default Frenzy Poll

ok, looking at my last thread on this topic, it appears nothing has been done about planning for Frenzy.....
I started thinking and was considering hosting the event in my area if the DC crowd isn't interested in planning it
if it's in Raleigh it would not be the weekend of 9-28 but 1 or 2 weekends later
let's get a REAL show of hands on who's interested either way

I have been here 3 years and don't know anything about this frenzy stuff... I am assuming it is a similar event to SITM? Is it a larger or smaller event? Someone clue me in as I would like to make up for missing SITM (every damn year) I should be able to make it this time, car is getting some much needed TLC, like Porkensioner, WP+TB, new coolant reservoir and some nice shiny chrome twist wheels to top it off.

There are normally about 50 or so cars. You can check out some of the pics at http://www.928oc.org. Guess you haven't been there yet and poked around. You can also do a search here in the forums.

This would be the 12th year of the event. Unfortunately I don't have the time to put things together this year and based on the level of response it seems as though it may not be worth the effort to plan it.

Rixter has been gracious enough to offer to host/plan it in NC if there is enough interest.

How can we as 928 owners just let a annual event that has been going on for 12 years just fall apart? I'm in.

Last year was the best I've been to; Jerome put on a great drive and the Funktion facility was great. They have corner balance scales and a great shop.
The Frenzy organizers from Larry Gunter and more recently Michael never got enough credit for doing the leg work to make Frenzy happen, and it is an event not to miss every year.

+ 1, it was a great time!! Steve did a great job also... lots of work.

This year I would like to suggest eating, just behind the Embassy Suites Hotel that we stay at. Last year the "designated" restaurant could not seat us all, so several of us went to this nice Italian right behind the hotel, sat outside it was perfect and no-one had to drive after drinking.

Going to miss this year, booked a 2 week vacation in Italy the usual dates of the Frenzy and completely forgot about it, my bad. Always a great time, lots of cars, good people and fun. Hope it doesn't die, been going on what 9-10 years?

It would be nice to keep it in the DC area.

I didn't respond to the poll, because I am unsure if I will attend. I am more likely to attend in the DC area, but it would depend on much. Certainly the first question is when...?

These events don't happen without the local volunteers, and I know how much work it is, so I definitely appreciate their efforts (even if I can't get there).
