Accelerator cable = bowden cable? That's adjusted - the way this MB (that has the same adjustments and even uses the same 722.3 torque converter) works is the fuel pump relay decides redline if the transmission will let it get there, and I have plenty of room to loosen for lower rpm shifts and it will still get to redline with my foot to the floor.

EDIT: I had a brainfart. Accelerator cable = throttle cable. My mighty Mercedes uses a throttle linkage (really, all cars should), so that's a non-issue.
