928 sound files
I used to have some good 928 sound files that were on my old hard drive when it crashed a couple weeks ago. I am slowly working on putting together files that I used to have and can't remember where I got them from. I know they wouldn't be on YouTube since those files are not downloadable.
I miss the sounds I had. One was a startup and rev and I used that as my Windows Startup sound. And then I had the Risky Business quote "Porsche, there is no substitute" as my Windows shut down sound.
If anyone has any ideas or could point me in the right direction to find those sounds again it would be much appreciated. Specifically any 928 startup and rev .wav (or similiar) files.
Thanks.

Yeah, but those are YouTube videos. The ones I had were sound files (.wav) only - no video. And I don't know of any way to download from YouTube. Those are good videos, though.

Have you tried putting your old drive in the freezer for a while & then plugging it back in? I've always been able to recover a good percentage of data doing that.

Yup, already tried that. It has a mechanical problem. Even got one of the SATA to USB converters so I can hot swap it in right out of the freezer. The computer will recognize there is a driver there, but says it is unreadable.

You might be able to pull some 928 audio off of this youtube file:

The activity window will show the stack of files that your browser has to download when you visit a youtube page. Look for the biggest one - that will be the .flv video file. Alt-click it (I think - maybe alt-doubleclick) in the activity window and that will download it to disk.
You'll need an FLV player to watch it - there is an FLV extension for Quicktime kicking around somewhere.
