Default Power express window controller problem

I bought two window express window controllers and they both don't perform as advertised. Maybe I am doing something wrong during installation or operation? Has anyone else had this issue with an OB?

You may need to swap the power at the switches - the paragon ones have 2 versions - only the reversed polarity ones work without modification in a 928.

However if you swap the input wires to the window switches and swap the motor connections they will work.

Swapping the motor wires over is easy (at the motor). For the switches you can swap on the switch (solder) or at the connector in the console (swap terminals)...
Swap the Red/Black wire with the Brown wire.

My problem is that the windows go up and down normally, the one touch feature doesn't work. Sorry, should have clarified that.

Yes - same answer... You have the paragon units?

These rely on 12v on the motor terminals at rest for the electronics power supply - on a 928 that doesn't exist unless you swap the wiring. In this case the switches work (they are ~direct) but the express features don't. I had posted a tech note on this on the Paragon Website - later they seemed to offer a negative powered (928 specific) unit for a while - not sure they still have it... most cars are wired the other way around - where at rest the motors have battery/system voltage on both terminals.

Thanks Alan! I know what you mean and have since seen your comment on the Paragon website. I will swap wires and see if it works.
