Landseer, I had a similar leak and I popped the cam cover off and put a dab of sealant on the 4 corners of the outter cam cover seal on the head. This is where the cam hold downs are front and rear.
reassembled it and still have no leak.

86 engine btw.

if it hasnt been mentioned sometimes the cam caps can also leak so you need to put some loctite 574 anerobic sealant onto the cap surfaces after they are cleaned , then add some Honda bond onto the cap/head junction

I put new cam cover gaskets on and it didn't stop either. When I painted a thin layer of Yamabond on both sides of the cam cover gasket (cam cover and head surfaces that mate with the gasket too) all the way around and re assembled the leak stopped....

My concern is I'm seeing no evidence of oil coming from the cam covers.

I've got the injector rail off.
Am scared it might be coming from the corner of the head gasket.

The oil has been blowing up (maybe via air from the fan) onto the underside of the hood on the passenger side, near the diagnostic plug. Seems like a bit more oil if I push the car hard. Never seem to need to fill it, maybe I overfilled to begin with.

Thanks for the sealing advice. Will do that. Just hope I kill this leak.

Lot of oil in valley. Is there anywhere else it might originate?

Default Think we found my leak

That was easy NOT.

An oil breather hose it appears.... Still going to look further, though. Gotta inspect the rest of the things Big Dave was concerned with.

True.
Clean, clean clean.
Adjust throttle cable and microswitch activation point
Plug wires.
Injector rubber
5 breather-like hoses
Wire from throttle position sensor
Boots, O-rings.
Wire harness shroud, if not wires.

Forgive my intrusion, Big Dave.

Looking forward to the solution of your original problem, may it also be simple!
