oil vent hose
What is the purpose of the T junction in my oil vent hose (as shown in the picture)? In other pictures I found (e.g. 928Registry) this appears in later '94 and 95 models.

To me it looks like someone has butchered that hose...
It should be a one piece hose molded into a T or Y joint.... one end goes to the oil filler neck, one to the conection on the throttle body, then the other end that you don't appear to have connected goes to the fuel vapor recovery system.... More specifically to the electronically controlled bleeder valve for the recovery system.

The hoses between the oil filler neck,throttle body and vapor recovery system are there the way it should be. This is a capped T junction in the hose to the oil filler neck. It's only in pictures of later '94 and 95 models..weird. Here's a different picture of a 94 GTS, gives a ''clearer'' shot. Anyway, it's not crucial. It's just one more place for a potential vacuum leak...
