Yeah,

You Austin boys used to be the bomb of Tejas, then everyone sold their cars!!! What was it called, the Wolfe Den?? You two need to get the fire started again down there!!

Where did Capt Vacuum line go?(Mark Robinson) Is he still down there too?

Yea, saw Robinson this weekend. He has a really nice 86.5 car w/ about 16k miles on it now. He is about to blow it up putting a rear mounted Turbo on the thing. Man, I just don't understand folks that can't leave stuff well enough alone. There is a reason Porsche built the motors the way they did and with the power they have. Now if you don't care about shortening the life of your motor then fine, boost the crap out of it and enjoy it for the next 20k miles till it blows up, but to do it to a GTS or a really nice low mile car... Well, I just don't get it, but to each his own.

I'll tell capt. vacuum line that you all say hi and send love! LOL!

Man, Austin burned fast and bright and then flamed out BIG TIME! I think I am the ONLY original 928er left here that still has a 928. David Wolfe does not even have a P-car anymore, Marc Reviel has moved to other P-cars, Robinson was not part of the original group, Pat McKeirnan is out of P-cars, Nowacky is out of P-cars and Austin, Samos got up to two 928's but now has none (but he has been borrowing my '81 for 7 or 8 months now), oh, wait, Jim Stadter still has two 928's I think! Not sure about Christine, I have not seen or heard from her in forever...she hand stitched the new leather on my '81 wheel.

We now have Robinson, Albrecht, Ben G., Sergio (I have not met him), Tom, me and a few others... We will have a gathering here at the Morrison 928 museum whenever these guys actually want to GTG! I have contacted all the folks on my list of 928OC members and everyone expressed interest, but not a LOT of interest.

We will get it up and running again!

Interesting that almost half (62 / 139) the cars are black.

Many of them are probably PCNA forced sales to dealers. "You want 964 or 993, you'll have to take 928 also". Dealers took least obtrusive color combo possible and still had great difficulty selling them.

James,

You could just let all your neighbors borrow the 928s and have a "pretend" get together!

The same thing happened with the 94 turbo over 200 of the 411 made were black. Since special order colors required a signed contract with a customer it was either black, red or white for most.

Excellent - so when I start shopping I should be able to find both in black without much trouble.

Not so sure about 94 GTS 5 speed but I can find you a black 94 turbo with one color interior or another any given month of the year. Although unfortunately an average 94 turbo is up to high $60k now and really nice ones are bringing $80k++
