She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid. I've made a lot of special modifications myself.
Oh well, I did just want her gone, but I would have taken more stuff off, if I'd known it was going to fleabay!
What a deal, most of the parts were already removed, and nicely grouped/bagged. They'll be some good parts on there, including a PKsn'r, 16V'r, and lots of newish parts.

Please don't look at this one then ,

Ebay had a $1.00 listing sale so I decided to list it (the money will go into the 85S)
If any rennlisters are interested I will sell it for it $3500 (what I have in it) BUT not until I sell the Benz.

Hi Ken,
Sorry to hear about the sad news with your old ride. It looks like there are quite a few wounded and cannabalised 928s in our neck of the words these past few weeks.
Coincidentally, I met up with a guy thru Craigslist this week who was also parting out two 928S4s in the Portland area:
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/pts/726564382.html
He says he specializes only in breaking and selling Porsche parts. He has pretty much all the parts for sale from the 89 928S4, including the engine. I ended up getting the three-point rear seat harness from him.

I guess it was a bit rough, but it was my first 928.
I should have known when the fellow asked if I wanted to keep the big plastic bins I had sorted all the removed parts into (the car weighed 2800lbs). He was just going to dump them all in the back of his truck (which already had a broken motorcycle in it, another red flag). I said no, it's nicely sorted for putting it back together.
James - That shined up real nice!
Andrew - I think Keith bought some stuff from him, too.
Devin - the stuff he knows is what he probably dimly remembers from what I told him, like the S-brake upgrade, w/good steel ball joints

I feel for you Ken, the guy that bought my 81 parted it out also... The main difference is that at least
he tried to fix it up and drove it for a while. Sadly these cars are worth more as parts then as whole
cars.

Geez, you didn't tell me WHO was buying the 81. Paul's a good guy though. Thought you would have known that this is what he does. Had you told me yesterday, there would have been no surprises.

Keith,
I didn't sell it to the S4 guy.
I can give you this guy's number (Scott) if you want someone to 'fix up' your euro S (and '85).

Total bummer Ken. A perfectly good, nicely modded, and fun 928 broken up.
I entered into a small business relationship with an aquiantence a couple of years ago, inspite of a number of red flags that I passed off as just a matter of his circumstance. Turned out they all reared their ugly heads as time passed. I learned my lesson their big time and am listening to my gut now, where in the past I think I have rationalized a certain amount of things away.

It was cracked on the passenger side. Also, the upper tip at the driver's fender had been chewed off by the PO's dog before it was installed.
I don't see any parts yet from the car as sold, only things that were in my (not inexpensive) boxes.
