The flashing light still comes on when the car is cold.

Pedal does not pump up when cold and after engine is running, pedal barely moves down. Seems to work properly.

The brake circuit light just came on the other day, along with the fluid being hot. The brakes not stopping the car properly has been an issue for 2 months. I have not driven the car much, so the time factor as compared to the driving factor is way off. The braking issue has been this way since I got the car last fall. I have probably put 200 miles (if that) on the car. I had hoped the brake booster would fix this.

If I have time this weekend, I will look to see if any of the calipers are dragging. Holding the pedal down while the engine running seems to be stable with no travel to the floor. So what I am getting at is the MC "seems" OK.

you will also want to check for a COLD brake as this could mean a plugged or crimped hard line just a thought usually for the rear brakes, possibly the pressure valve is blocked if you have one

I have bled the brake system twice and fluid flows smoothly to all 4 calipers. I did consider a problem with the proportioning valves, but figured since they flow, there shouldn't be any concern there. Am I wrong?

do the heat test of your brakes before you do anything else this should give you some kind of direction to go in. If the brakes all seem to be working IE warm or hot compared to both side of the car then i would remove the master cylinder and disassemble it looking for a corroded bore and worn seals
