Default Difference between old and new throttle position sensors

So I'm wondering what the difference is between the '85-'86 LH 2.2 throttle position sensor (944 606 113 01) and the '87-'91 LH 2.3 throttle position sensor (928 606 157 00). The reason I ask is that Andy K.'s S/C kit uses the '85-'86 US thottle body and therefore the TPS from that year, but my car is a '91 so it has LH 2.3. I seem to recall that Bosch changed it from just a 1/0 switch to a variable one, but don't know when that change was. Anyone got an LH manual handy currently? John Speake, do you know?

Hi Dan
No, I don't know, never investigated. IIRC it is direction of rotation that is the difference ?

I am pretty sure that electrically the two types are the same. Microswitch that clicks nively for idle, spring contacts for WOT.

85(84 Euro) thru 93 TPS switches are all simple 3 pole contact switches. The idle switch portion is a small microswitch while the WOT portion is a simple contact switch controlled by a plastic cam. HOWEVER, the 87-93 work in the opposite direction from the 85-86 version. One is clockwise rotation, the other is counter clockwise rotation.

The 94-95 version is different, 5 pole with extra switch positions for transmission programs.
