Default Woo hoo!

Several years ago I had to let my Red/Black 90GT go.

If the paperwork flies I'll be picking up that Iris Blue/Gray 94GTS from Wilhoits.

Been lurking since my 2.8L 500rwhp 89 944 Turbo blew up and I decided I wanted something else.

Wow, there have been some big changes since I've been away...

Devek is gone, Louie Ott has done a LOT more than chips and exhaust, supercharged sharks everywhere, and who is Carl?

Just thought I would say Hi.

Iris Blue is the one of the nicest (and rarest) of the GTS colours in my opinion.

Nice find.

Hi Richard! Glad to see you back in a 928. I've been back in one myself since late 2006.

That's a gorgeous GTS you're getting. Willhoit has a reputation for finer examples of the marque. Will you be modding the car, or leave it stock?

Welcome to the 928 forum, I think you'll enjoy it here.

Take care,
Jarrod

...and I still have it bookmarked, LOL. I loved that car, and sometimes wonder where it is. Last CarFax I pulled had it in Massachusetts, IIRC (for those of you who don't know, well, uh, that would be all of you - Richard bought my former '90GT when I sold it in 2000).

There's a big group of 928'ers in the DFW metroplex who post frequently and have monthly get togethers. I hope to make it down there sometime. Also, there are now several of us Oklahomans on the forum as well.

Catch you later...

WOW, hope it all works out and you get it!

Very exciting and IMHO one of the best colors available for a 928. I prepped a beautiful Iris Blue 928 for concours and when I finished with the paint my wife said "that color is amazing". It really pops when it's fully polished and just stops you and makes you stare.

Good luck!

Can't be that rare, I know of 3 or 4 of them...all 5 spds and the ONLY GTS I saw on a three week trip to Germany back in 2000 was an Iris Blue one! Sure it is not like Sliver or even white, but I bet Horizon blue is more rare than Iris blue. How about Riviera blue??? Ever seen one??? There are a couple of them out there. When I find one I am buying it. How about speed yellow? What TWO of them in the USA, maybe three???

Can't deny Iris blue is a gorgeous color though!

Look forward to seeing pics of your car when you get it.

The flames on the 944 are Duplicolor temporary paint. Took 4 hours to mask and paint. Kept it for a week. Washes off at the car wash.
