Dipstick extension

Dipstick extension
Recognizing the risk of putting up a "dipstick to short" thread to this group I'll post this anyway; maybe someone could use the idea.
Adding the S/C and related plumbing pretty much made my stock dipstick inaccessible without getting burned by the radiator hose.
I took an extra dipstick tube and used it to extend the stock one. It fits snuggly into the flared end section and is held in with epoxy. I used an after market flexible dipstick, cut down to position the oil level marks in the correct position. I bent the eyelet and then covered it with the slip-on vinyl cover.

Nice thread! You are a brave man to admit your stick was too short. I thought there was some type of herbal supplement that did this the "Natural" way, but your method is probably much faster.
