Default What part is this?

I'm trying to finish up my dad's 85 928 and for the life of me cannot find this part anywhere (see pic)? Does anyone know what part that is that I circled in the picture? I also uploaded another diagram of this part as well and circled it. I see there is a vacuum hose that connects to the intake and thats the last thing we have to connect before finishing up the vacuum lines but are missing that part. Does anyone have a picture of this part on there car? Any help would be great im tearing my hair out over here trying to figure out what that is.

The part I need is on the front of the engine not rear. Thanks though. The part you are refering to, I believe is #8 in the bottom diagram.

Dan,

I think it's a FPR on the front of the DS fuel rail. I can take a pic and post it in a little while.

Standby...

Vague memory says that it is either a decel valve or part of the evaporative emission control system...

Mike that would be awesome if you could take a picture for me. Wouldn't the fuel pressure regulator be #3 in the bottom picture though, unless theres two of them for each rail? As you can tell im completely lost..

What you have circled is part of the air injection emissions system and is not on top of the engine but down beside /below the passenger head attached to a pipe.

That's the airpump diverter valve. It dumps air pump air into the airbox at full throttle, so as to not overheat the cats. It's out of place in the diagrams, it's actually near the coolant reservoir tank.

Dan,
That's the part I sent you that you thought was not correct.

Life saver! Thanks man! Is there there a bracket that holds that on?

Yes thats correct there was confusion because the part I was looking for had two ports on it as shown in the PET so I thought that was the part I needed. I had no idea what it looked like other than the PET picture so when you sent your part I figured it had to be wrong since it did not match PET. That's was the purpose of this post, was to figure out what exactly went there. Looks like its cleared up now. PET pictures are horrible at best!

On 85-86, there is a bracket on the cam cover attached by the bolts next to (15) and (16) in this S4 pic. (There's usually oil leaking from around these bolts.)
