Those resistance numbers sound about right. Why is the fault still posting? Did you check both signals, one to LH and the other to EZK? We've got to get that fault to clear.

When we checked the temp II sensor at SITM we did it both hot and cold. With the engine at room temp.
I know you are dealing with a different setup, but our 83 was getting about 8 mpg until we replaced the Temp II.

If the sensor ohm'd out to spec, then that is not the issue. You should check to see if you get the same values at the LH & EZK plug. Either the signal to the LH/EZK is bad or the LH/EZK is failing. You've already swapped out LH & EZK, so I would suspect the wiring. (BTW, I saw it... it looked pretty rough.)
One thing you could try is to run separate wires from the Temp II sensor to the EZK and the LH (pin 13 on the LH and Pin 19 on the EZK). Clear your Temp II sensor ground fault error and drive around for a while and see what happens.

John & Sean,
There are 2 hammers in my GTS if you need one of them.
Make sure you take a charger as well.
Slumming it on the beach in FL - not 8>)

Grrrrr,, I hate you with the white hot intensity of the sun. I'm actually working today. Do you know how to the Temp II actual values from the LH and EZK? That device is not the most user friendly thing every built. I may go fiddle with it on Friday, or Sunday. Thanks

Just and update.
Old thread I know, but, I kinda put the '89 on the back burner until I could get a chance to put some time in on it. Still trying to figure out the dynamics of what is going on with the fuel management system.
I needed to pull the intake to replace the hexagonal flappy spring holder hoodad that Andrew found in the engine valley that had fallen off the split pin. Got that taken care of and in currently replacing vacuum hose connectors (Thank you Roger for the replacements)
I disconnected the battery and disconnected the LH cable with the intent to trace out all the wires for continuity and grounding. My uncle (who is a car electric wizard, but doesn't do car electronics) was helping me.
Well apparently my engine was not grounded. At all. Nada. Nothing. The main engine ground strap is there and is connected, but apparently not functional.
I know that a ground or a lack of a ground can cause some really wierd things to happen. I am hoping that this is one of them.
Wish me luck.

Sterling,
The grounds are all present, but not apparently accounted for.
It would be interesting for someone that has much more knowledge than me regarding these things to map out the directional current and find out what the lack of one of these grounds would do to the directional current. I wonder where the ground eventually came from?

Angela, I'm new here.
As far as the dance goes, I vote yes.
I see you are the Director of Endowment.
If I may say so, the avatar photo proves that you are well-endowed.

I got the intake back on correctly with KillaV's help. It is hell to get old and blind at the same time. Anyway, took the '89 out for a test drive the next afternoon and it surely does feel all different driving. Lots and lots of power that had been lacking. I will take it out for a longer run this weekend, put a Hammer on it and clear the fault codes and hopefully it will be all sorted out for the Third Coast run.
Thanks to all who have helped.
