Default Old Broken Shark

It's old, broken, cracked... But I like it anyway.

German 1979
That car is almost 5 years older than me. I got to show some respect.

Those seat don't look terrible! I mean for the age of the car I would expect (if they had not been restored) the seats to be coming apart at all the seams. It really looks like it could be a decent '79 daily driver to me! Any 928 is something to be proud of and take care of. When they were new they were one of the most expensive cars money could buy and one of the best performing as well! Even today they (especially the GTS's) look reasonably modern and good looking and are ALWAYS fun to drive! You will rarely ever see yourself going the other direction in a 928 too! That is one of the things I love. C5 Vette's, Boxsters and 911's are on almost every freaking corner!

Look's pretty good to me- your paint is in much!! better shape than my OB. the engine bay will clean right up with some elbo grease and the interior will look much better with some TLC and not much out of pocket for the time.

It has been repainted 2-3 years ago... But the job was badly done as the clear is chipping all over the place. I plan to repaint it again... Probably in another 2-3 years... Maybe silver with black and silver interior.
I plan to use http://928leathershop.com/ stuff.
Anybody used their stuff? Is it good? It looks good at least.

Never accidented, and only 108,000 miles, which means around 3,500 miles per years.

Looks decent from here. I like it cool color, nice phone dials, and the interior is different. What's not to love. Good score in my opinion.

As always ....
Give thy sHARk a name and start bonding ...
The journey begins.
Lot's of OB -the real ones- CIS, WUR Guru's around. Pay attention to the guru's and their wizardry
when it comes to the fuel system. Everything else is just normal grief.

What OB mean?

And anybody know what is the light socket I have on the rear? I'm not sure what's suppose to fit there. If I can't find anything, I will probably fill the hole.

LOL! Anything before the 80's is old to me.

Yeah. I think it's red lens. But the whole light socket is gone, I only have 2 taped wires in there. But haven't found any parts matching what's suppose to go there.

I'm checking the 130+ pages of the "Post picts of 928" thread, and I'm yet to find any picture of someone removing the 2 rear seat.
I plan to remove them and replace them by 2 Pioneer ultra-slim subwoofer with a amp in the middle replacing the middle rear console.

Also, you can see the middle armrest console is missing. That thing is damn hard to find!

LOL! So do I... but I feel ok knowing there is much more stuff and people older than me than younger. I guess I will start really hating the word "old" when I reach the middle point.

Thanks... I got picture of the rear euro fog light. I checked 928Intl and eBay, and they don't have any euro fog light assembly...

Know where I could find one?

I'd just keep an eye out on evilbay.. they show up from time to time, although YOU might be old by the time you find one.
You keep throwin round that "old" word "sonny" - you and i are gonna talk

Really - the car looks great - by the way...

ob is just the opposite of bo - newer car and corvette owners have that.

i just drove 'ghost' from florida to SITM - 78' euro - $1,000 car

She's my DD - these cars are indestructable with just a little maintanance....
a word to the wise - don't take them swimming....

Paint? whats that - the cops only look at the bright shiny sports cars...
they leave those of us who are pigment challenged alone
