So, it's time to finish up my project '83 US 5 speed. I've had it stored for long periods of time (10-12 months) and it's always started up very quickly and run great without stabilizer. This 10 month period was different. It was quite a hard start and took about 5 min of cranking to get fuel pressure up I guess.
Anyway, it runs and doesn't stall but it runs very roughly and has very limited power. It's almost like it's missing a cylinder. No predetonation or missing. I stored it with half a tank of gas but I have since filled that half tank with fresh gas and added an injector cleaner (not Techron) with no difference. Timing is on target, I pulled a plug and it looks normal, oil is clean, coolant level is good, adjusted tension on the TB (needed a tightening) and it lines up perfectly on the passenger cam. Didn't check the driver side cam. All the plug wires are pushing juice as per my check with the timing light clamp.
I am hoping it's bad gas and plan to replace the fuel filter shortly, in addition to going through a couple of tankfuls with techron.
Does anyone know if my L Jetronic has a limp home mode perhaps on the air mass sensor?
I sort think it doesn't but I am not sure. Any other suggestions or places to check?

Fuel filter may be plugged. You probably got more ethanol in your last fill before storage than prior periods and is loosed all the deposits in the tank that now are plugging the filter.
It also could be water in the tank from storing half full letting condensation build up.

Wife got a bad tank of gas (drives it daily) and it did the same thing. Don't burn out your starter though.
If you are sure you have fuel flow and spark, that's my guess, as I've seen it on a few cars.

Fortunately it runs, but it's very rough. I'll put some gas dryer in and see if that helps out.
