Gathering specifications
I've got an urge for a manually shifted "old boy" tuned and dressed in a "Club Sport" suit. The idea is to put it on a diet with a goal close to 3000 pounds, and at least 300-350 RWHP. About 3.5 Kg/HP should make for a fun car for the street and on track days.
But there are many routes to choose between, the question is which route to go? I've been thinking of anything from turbocharging an early 4.5 liter to "backdate" a S4. To help decide I'm putting together a simple chart over available models in Europe and US. This should make it easier to make a fast decision when the right car show up for sale.
This is what I got so far, but I need help to verify the data
If you have a "old boy" with 300++ RWHP please share how you got there. I need information and inspiration.
