Thing about the delorean it would get alot more attention than the 928 and well which means it would be rarely driven maybe a couple of times a year. Maybe in the distant future I can get a new one with a performance engine

Stainless steel bodied cars store well most anywhere...
Performance wise, they, stock, pretty much match a Fierro GT. Add a turbo or two and they RULE...
The "electrical quirks" are generally 100% fixed with a ~$250.00 "upgrade" replacing ALL relays with newer Bosch units.
The engine is not "American" but a derivative of a Volvo/Renault. Lots of parts stolen from other more common cars. Guaranteed "investment" vehicle if you keep it "running..." Bend some stainless and you're in for a nasty surprise...
No rear visibility to speak of, but, you can always pop open the door and view that way as you back up. The new "rebuilds" offer an optional rear camera. Screw it. Who needs to see clearly when you're backing up anyway???
Still, brakes and handling rock.... Not fast. Not slow. Just enough for most daily requirements... I highly recommend one...

Better to just buy the Lotus , all they did was glue stainless to a Lotus chassis and put in a worthless engine and trans.....horrible car. John Z had some great ideas he just could not make it happen. I looked at one recently with my daughter and son in law. It had been painted RED ! interior was trashed they wanted $8,500. They said it WOULD run battery was flat and they were charging it

I rember going on a fun run with the Ferrari guys a few years back and there was a Delorean there. We were going up Mulholland and part way up I remember seeing the guy on the side of the road. Apparently the tranny went and the thing had to be towed....that must have been a horrific tow bill.
Look cool, not sure they would be fun to drive.
Personally I would take a Pantera any day over a Delorean.

Well, I finally got the parts ordered for the car should be here around thursday :-\ The search continues for the rims though I'm considering any set of 7J X 16 front and 8J X 16 rear. I really wanted the design 90 rims but there proving next to impossible to find. I'm looking for regulars S4 rims now.

Well, I got my parts in today car starts getting repaired tomorrow I can't wait to get it on the road again. Its going into garage for awhile tho I'm going to strip it down and restore it. I need an everyday car anyone have any suggestions I'm thinking maybe a jetta or something like that.
I also found this pic the first 928 I ever drove and when I knew I had to have one...Only took 2 years of saving up and looking for the right one to finally buy the one I have now. I think I'd be discouraged if I could go back and tell myself how long it would take me to actually be able to buy one of my own.

These aren't everyday cars??? I don't get it. Their cheap. The performance is great. They love to be driven daily. What's not to love??? I look forward to driving the 928 daily. It's really kinda strange. I do love these cars. In fact I've only owned a 944 (back in highschool) before this Pcar and I must say I truely enjoyed driving it as well. There's just something about the Porsche's that I love. Not sure exactly what it is but I truely love driving them. Jason

I love driving my 928 don't get me wrong, but I'm scared wherever I park I always park where I can keep a good eye on my car and also the more I drive it the more chance there is of it being wrecked or something just bad happening to it. I'm paranoid...

Not to sound like a jerk but Dude you just had an accident it happens get over it already. If it's your first it probably won't be your last. I just had both rear quarters wrecked the past few months by 2 different people. It happens. Get out there and drive it like you stole it! These cars thrive on it. When I let it sit for a couple of days I can tell it's pissed at me. After I open it up it forgives me and we go for a flight
