I would rather to an intake R&R than attach another ISV to this thing.

Anyone know of a better penetrating lubricant besides WD40? I don't think PB Blaster would be the best application for freeing up a stuck idle control valve. It may destroy it.

Hmmm.... PB Blaster does sound like a good idea to use as a penetrating formula to free up the stickiness of the ISV on hot starts.

Has anyone ever done this? If not, I guess I'll be the first to try it tonight.

EDIT - I've done some research online. There are quite a few that have used PB Blaster with high success in freeing up gummed up carburetors on old school muscle cars.

If they can do it, I think we can free up ISV's the same way!

If it's just stuck, just give it a soak in brake cleaner. If it's broken, you'll have to do something else for it.
