Cheryl Carter Obviously a problem caused by the damn slush box. Put in a 5 speed and you'll be good to go.

Any news Roger? It's not unusual that a brand new plug is bad.
How is the idle when the car is warmed up? Sounds a little like my GTS when the ISV went bad.
I'm gone for the rest of the week, flying the mighty Tornado. I will look into this post on Friday....

Well it was the plugs. Three of the new Porsche plugs were bad out of the box. On each one one of the three electrodes was all but touching the center post. Replaced with good plugs and all is fine.
After we found the first bad plug the car improved very slightly. After all the bad plugs were replaced car was back to normal.
Moral of the story - never say "use plugs direct from the box" and eat your words.

inexpensive plug gappers can be had at most auto parts stores. Glad you got er figgured out
By the way what are the NEW plugs that you installed?? Bosch super copper tips?
Bosche PN 7900 This equates to a WR7DC with a single electrode
