What should I check if the car has been running hot?

I need to do two things and any help/guidance would be appreciated:
1) Figure out how to address the issue, as noted in previous posts I have fans that are working and two new temp sensors
2) Determine if I have damaged anything when the car heated up.

Hi Jim...
Assuming that you really are running hot, I'd check the thermostat for proper operation. Then I'd probably check the radiator for flow, and if those check out, it's on to the water pump. When you did the TB, did you replace teh water pump? And has it run hot since then? or has it always run hot?

Thanks Andrew--
We did the water pump when we did the TB.
I'll check the thermostat this weekend, guess I'll have to run over to 928SRUS--wouldn't hurt to have a new one in the car.
Hope I have not hurt the engine...I trusted the gauge over the light.
