Nice effort Carl. I love the pic of the car going around a bend where you can get a sense of the elevation. Very cool. That car looks like it has a 3' wider track in the rear. Looks pretty cool with the NACA ducts in the front bumper.

Superb photo's Carl. Congratulations to you. I just don't know where you find the time to do all that you do.

Does it have much of the technical stuff in it?
Some, but no so much the average Joe can't follow it. Besides, my kids will tell you I'm a born instructor/teacher guy and I explain everything anyway (even when I am not asked).

Here is the Table Of Contents:
PEAK 928
Pikes Peak in a Porsche 928

TABLE OF CONTENTS

5 Preamble

8 Registration

9 The Crew

14 The Build

47 Test and Tune

55 The Trip

66 Pikes Peak, 1st Day
Tech Inspection

72 Pikes Peak, 2nd Day
Qualifying at the Summit

83 Pikes Peak, 3rd Day
Qualifying at the Bottom

93 Pikes Peak, 4th Day
Qualifying at the W’s

102 Fan Fest

107 Our Competition

116 Pikes Peak, Day 5
The Day Before the Race

121 Pikes Peak, The Race

155 Epilogue
I would say the two chapters "the Build" and "Test and Tune" are mildly techy, but would be of interest to most 928 owners.

an adventure story is good too. I used to always just skip over those parts of automotive magazines but i started reading them and more often then not they end up being worth the read.

How timely, I was just showing your Pikes Peak video to my dad's friends in Montana this past weekend...they loved it!!!

I just placed my order, looking forward to reading all about it...(and trying out the heel/toe overlay I ordered while I was in there)

This is also the first new book about the Porsche 928 in many years......
Actually, it is not. It may be the first new book about the Porsche 928 written as a non-fiction narrative, but there are several other fairly recent "books" before yours.

Anyway, congratulations!
