Default Front Wheels Rubbing

18" x 8" x 50ET with 225 40s Continentals on the S4

Both tires worn down to belts, similar rubbing on frame on both sides. I know the toe is probably off a bit, but not enough to induce this type of rubbing/wear.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

are the wheels damaged as well or just the tires?
the rubbing on the inner fender walls would not cause that type of tire wear, but would cause rim damage. is it possible that those marks were there previously? they typically come from wider wheels that rub on full turn.
your tire wear is typical of a bad alignment with resultant toe out.

Rims are fine - as is the "protective" bead of rubber that runs around the inside of the tire wall.

I'll put on a new set of tires, get a Sears alignment and just check every couple of hundred miles.

Thanks

That wear is a bad alignment they probably lifted the car. The frame rail rubbing can be limited by adding spacer bushing to the ends of the rack where the tie-rod screws in to limit the lock. Do you do a lot of tight U-turns ??
