It was great having you guys over... we all had a good time! I'll try to do another one in the fall. Let's try to do a Saturday or Sunday GTG at a park around the end of next month....maybe do lunch?

I forgot to thank you for helping me troubleshoot the vacuum leak. Nice to NOT have the heat on anymore!

Thanks Jerome. Garage looks great. Think we'll have to revisit.

No problem... that's one of the easier problems to troubleshoot.

sorry i missed the GTG... the restoration of my 78 is going well, so i should meet up with all of you next time.... as long as we are talking about the heater valve>
i have a question : on my 78 there is a red and black vacume line, i quess dealing with the heater valve and vacume supply. Is the red one connect to the vacume supply and the black one connected to the heater valve?

thanks agian and see you soon...i hope,
Buzz

First, I don't think you'll get a response on this thread. Second, a picture speaks a thousand words. Third, do a search on your problem or start a thread. (Go to the FAQ section and find Walley Plumley's procedure for troubleshooting the HVAC system....that's a MUST)

The S4 has only one vacuum line to the heater control valve, it's white and comes through the firewall from the vacuum module behind the console where all the vacuum solenoids are mounted. The previous owner may have changed some of the vacuum lines and that's why a picture would be helpful.
