Default Tail Light Failure ***Fixed

Yesterday I picked up my car from the body shop because a month or so ago some Jack a$$ rear ended the car in the parking lot. The body shop removed the bumper panel to repaint it. so last night on the way home I get the message light that I have a tail light failure. Sure enough when I look at the drivers side rear light stack the three lower red light light bulbs and the amber light are flashing and the light is dimmer than what would be normal.***Edit also the third break light is flashing as well*** I turn the car off and on again and the lights work fine (just the amber light) but after I depress the brake pedal the lights do the same thing as before I'm thinking it might be a short, I have allready checked the fuses and there fine. Any suggestions before I tear up the back of the car for a shorted wire.

It was corrosion that caused the problem. The Left rear turn signal bulb had a slight bit of corrosion and so did one of the pins in the plug that connects the tail light assembly to the car.

check your ground wires in the rar of the hach area and then you might have to pull the ligs or better yet stick you head up under the rear bumper and see what the wires are doing

I would simply take it back to the shop that did the repair and have them fix it...they should have checked this and fixed it before releasing it to you in the first place...Don't wait, tho - do it right away....
