Default A/C not working....

Car (83 Euro S) went to the shop to get the odo gear and a couple of leaky gaskets replaced. When I got it back, the A/C blows hot air. Is there a fuse that could be blown or a wire disconnected that could cause this. When I turn it on, I can hear the flaps in the console doing what they are supposed to do but only hot air coming out.
Of course the A/C worked fine when it went in there. Any thoughts?
I tried search, but there were so many answers it would take the rest of my natural life to read all of them.

Thanks in advance.

the mechanic probably knocked the vacuum line off the hvac valve that sits behind the airbox on the firewall in the engine bay. It may be a blue vac line? Anyway, check that first, as the disconnect of that vacuum line will disable air and give you heat instead...

The power supply wire to the A/C clutch runs down the right front of the motor connects to the compressor just rear of the pulley. Give that 12 volts and the clutch SHOULD engage ,the compressor SHOULD turn , and it MIGHT refrigerate.

Unfortunately, the answer to the question is no, it is not turning. I will try Jim's suggestion. Fortunately, Porken felt sorry for me and offered to help, sooo we should know the problem soon.

Thanks all for your comments.

+1. Check that first. I had the same problem and it was the connection that was disconnected.
The connection is near the oil dipstick.

Did that. Clutch did engage, compressor DID turn. Did not refrigerate. BAH

Low gas appearently causing compressor to shut down. Double BAH
sounds like $500 give or take...............
