The car I picked up does the same thing with locking. The PO took out the fuses, but told me that sometimes when the driver door is shut hard it still locks. Since no power is going to it, I figure that must mean that something is worn in that door. When that lock locks I think it tells the passenger side to lock. I can get by with no power locks for now. I've got a jeep as a daily driver so I'm used to living without many features.
