Busted exhaust to block bracket- critical?
While doing my clutch R&R I noticed that the driver's side exhaust manifold - to - engine block bracket (928.111.162.00) is broken in half. Presumably I've driven around with it like this for at least 3,000 miles plus however long it'd been broken under the PO's care. Turns out that the driver's side bracket is NLA, while the passenger side bracket has been updated with some sort of2-piece affair with different parts #s (928.111.163.00 and 928.111.161.01).
SO: How critical are these? I'd like one for completeness sake. Any of you folks running headers got a spare?

I wouldn't call it critical, but you are putting a lot more weight ont he other brackets. To me, it didn't look highly engineerd - more like eyeball engineered. You could probably pick up a hunk of bar stock at your local home depot and drill a couple of holes, bend it into place and hack saw off the extra for less than $5.
