Default Identify these wires

Can't imagine what these two wires should lead to...a brown and a grey wire (the grey one hidden behind the brown one). Large gauge too. They lead from top of hatch down along side the left side and stop just after the strut mount.

Any ideas??

Ok found it on the wiring diagram. Will check further.

So how do I remove the hatch liner?

Thanks

Remove the panel at the most aft edge. The fastners are a split pin with a flat plastic nail like pin that spreads the split pin. (Not a very clear discription). Then the side panels slide off (are held on by spring clips). Lastly the forward panel pops down (held on with plastic clips. Get some replacement plastic clips for the forward panel as they often break during removal and are Porsche specific. (At least I've never found them in any generic auto parts store.)

Well i found the wires switched between left and right side. I started to take the top liner off, but the plastic clips ripped out of the liner instead of out of the hatch. Anyway, the defrost works, so I left it alone. Don't want to break the liner further. Thanks Jim.
