Default Headlight and foglight aiming

Can anyone point me to a good writeup for doing my own headlight and foglight aiming?

I'm imagining that someone out there has figured out exactly where the headlights should be pointiing with the car parked level, a certain distance from a wall.

It reads kind of difficult, but in the end it is easy. Just make sure that the middle of the light pattern on the wall is lower than the middle of your head lights, the slope from your head lights to the wall should be appr. -3 degrees. Fog lights like wise.

On my car the wire cable was stuck (frozen) at the adjustment holder ring so that turning with a screwdriver just wound the wire cable up tight. Had to turn it with a wrench at the holder.
Do this early evening and adjust upward until no flashes from oncoming drivers. The L-R should be a no-brainer.
