20yrs in the Airforce. Happy retirement Darien. GTS mirrors AND Service Covers for U!
Ok, I’ve ran this by RV and got the 
to run it by the list here.
Darien’s last day at work is today (Friday 5-9-08). He officially retires from the Air Force after 20yrs with a ceremony out at Nellis AFB next Friday (5-16-08)...should be a doozy!
As a little gift from myself and perhaps some of you I am buying him a set of GTS mirrors for his car.( Having read that, he now nows
) I have been bugging him for ages to get a set of these for his car. I have found a set at a very good price at Sunset Porsche in Oregon, $341.31....glass...bases...all that is needed except paint. Id have them painted but I’m not sure what car he wants them on. That will be up to him.
First and foremost, I’m more than willing to pay the entire cost but I thought it would be a nice gesture if I started a "whip round" among you all on the list here. $10 bucks here…$5 bucks there...whatever you want…that sort of thing. A gift to him from my self and all you in 928 Rennlist community. Everyone who contributes will remain anonymous as will the amount, unless you obviously post a reply on the thread stating that you pitched in X dollars.
I will make up any short fall in the price difference of the mirrors and what is contributed. ..... anything over I’ll pick him up something else 928 related that he may need/want...perhaps a quart of the paint needed to paint the mirrors .... Fender covers..etc..etc
Any contributions you wish to make can be sent to my papal.

I can paint them for you at no cost. I just need the gas tank cover for a color match and a couple of weeks. PM me if interested. And congrats on the retirement. I did 9 years inthe Air Force myself......
