Sounds as if you had different issues Ernest...........thx for the input.
Dave............I re-looked (since my tbelt install) at that seroius power cable that electrifies the ABS system; cable is good as are the connections.
Word of caution to all who may be following along................Daves statement that this cable is unfused is absolute.............be very careful in this area. I now wonder if I damaged the realys when doing the tbelt project but I'm sure the batt. was disconnected.

Malcolm,
there is a 14 pin connector up there in that ABS pump box, you might want to take the cover off of it and see if there is any corrosion. It's really not that bad to get to.

To get to the pump relays is not too difficult. You have to remove the LF wheel and forward wheel arch splash panel. The panel is moulded to wrap around the pump. The relays are on top of the pump under a cover which is secured by a knurled 'finger nut'.
