Yeah, they did close the kitchen early. But we scored that skanky shrimp from the girls next to us.

I thought you were leaving from Charlottesville? If you are going down from here, we can hook up somewhere. But your talking rush hour at 5:00.

Well, that is what I'll do. See you all them.

Funny, when I moved down here from Michigan, remember saying to myself.. cool, I'll be able to hook up with the BRP posse to SITM.

OK- from the posts it looks like everybody gets in too late for a BBQ at my farm, so I'll go to plan B and meet as many of you as I can for a beer Thurs evening. I'm guessing you'll be at the South River Grill right next door to the Comfort Inn, so I hope to see you there! I've been psyched for this ever since I saw last year's group pulling into Mile Marker 1 Friday morning. I was sorry to miss that one, but I'm really looking forward to this year!!!

Thursday for the ride down is good. But probably after rush hour - more like 7:30-8. Boston doesn't arrive till late anyway.

nh87: you have to plan way in advance to get all the bugs ironed out for the annual pilgrimage to SITM.

John, Dan: I hope we can make better time this year, maybe with an earlier start time up here. Also if people can pack a lunch and drinks, that may save an hour in there somewhere. Finishing thursday's drive with Skyline drive is absolutely awesome.

The thing about SITM is that one of the days will end up rainy, so you have to be ambitious because one of your fun drives won't be fun or replaced with highway if raining. Make hay while the sun shines...

You guys weren't really late. Rick actually arrived before we did. It was you guys running through the mountains in the dark that made you late.

Looking forward to seeing you guys.

I was getting hung up on maintenance items too. Then I said to myself... self, the car runs strong & feels good. So who cares if this or that is done in time?

I'm not going to SITM for a concours show or to have someone else pick my car apart. I'm going because the people are cool, enthusiastic, of like mind and love talking 928s. These really are some of my favorite people.

So if you trust you car can get you there and back safely. Go for it. Don't worry if you haven't done claybar yet, or you have dents, or your dash is cracked...

Kim: we lost one guy, so 6 coming down and sounds like more than that meeting up with us. Like a mini SITM before SITM even starts!!
I will tell you, almost 300 miles of BRP friday is the coolest thing you can do. If it had a name it would be "The 8 hours of Blue Ridge Nurburgring"!!! Good stuff.
