Boge shock adjuster parts question
Heya
The ride height of my new 87 S4 was set rediculously low when I bought it last month. I measured them and they are 125mm(!) front and 160mm rear.
I tried raising the front only to find that its not adjusting when I turn the nut. It appears that the PO, in order to lower the car as much as possible, removed the inner threaded ring.
Has anyone encountered (or tried) this? I am going to order the inner rings but I'm wondering if the adjusters have been damaged by not having the inners installed. Would there be an unthreaded spacer in its place? Is it even possible for there to be no inner piece installed of any type (threaded or unthreaded) and not have the adjuster slide down the shock body unconstrained?

Inner ring is very likely there but is just stuck on the nut. Even if its not and installation didn't damage adjusters its very likely threads in them aren't good. Get both inner rings and adjusters.
