Nice...and the price is good if it passes a good PPI.

Ya the painted front airdam tends to point towards a crappy repaint.....however I doubt wilhoit would offer such a poorly painted 928

Recovered front seats - Why?
Flag mirrors - not aero like yours.

Not the best fitting covers I've ever seen either.

the air filter seems a bit twisted, and it seems to be sitting lower than stock. otherwise a nice looking ride

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but that shock tower brace looks slightly buckled.

I'm surprised that Willhoit is dealing with Salvage title cars.

I called him, I was surprised too, but he is selling it with a price apparently that matches that, it was a solid mechanical car, apparently engine fire was the salvage issue. Someone can get a good driver , he was open with the salvage issue right up front... so that is good.. probably a trade in. Who knows, could be good reliable shark transport for low dollars, but the title issue will always be there... so price has to reflect that...

Still a reasonably good deal. I would still have a PPI done and if it comes back solid I think I would make an offer on it Purchasing a salvage title car is a good way to get a good car at a affordable price. The only real issue is the resale. As long as you realize this, "Go for it". Let's face it, 66K is a low mileage car

Only thing I would watch for is that the "fire" isn't a sign that other maintenance was also deferred. Definitely warrants a thorough PPI

In my personal opinion, I wouldn't buy it. Why not spend the extra 3k and get one with a clean history? There's plenty of low mileage 87-89's that I would rather have that aren't much more. And After seeing a friend of mine try to sell his salvaged history car I decided never to buy one unless I was using it for parts. They are terriably hard to sell unless given away. To each there own..
