I took the plunge again today....

82 Auto, Trashy interior, weak paint, and +150K miles.... but it runs/shifts great and for what it's worth, my daughter and I should have fun with it.

SO... She LOVES Can Can red.... Anyone with Can Can interior parts they will be happy to part with please let me know. Let the disassembly begin...

Very cool. Congrats! It looks nice, and I like the wheels.

I'm not sure about the red interior, but to each his or her own, right?

150k miles? You've got another 100k before you'll need to do anything to the bottom end. You're good to go!

Thanks Mike - Can Can isn't my first choice.... but my girl calls it "Lipstick Red" and I can't argue with that... lol

I think I'll go with a more silver paint and thus the Can Can will look a little better...

Did you look at the "Garage Sale" thread at the top? I believe someone was selling a red interior, don't think it was lipstick red but close maybe...

Congrats on the purchase by the way!

Then there's Ken (Porken) who's considering selling or parting out one of his cars. If he converts this one to a track car, maybe the can can interior will be available. Send him a PM

heh... if you look back on his sale consideration thread I already chimed in about the interior...lol

I had one of Ken's tensioner setups on my 85 - awesome. That mod will also be in store for this one as dependability will be a must. My daughter helped me rebuild a carburetor once, and put new jugs on a build-up Sportster I once had.... but she'd rather talk on the phone now and do make-up. I'm pretty sure this father-daughter project will be mostly father work - daughter-drive.
