Default stabilant; which one??

They make 5 different versions: 22, 22a, 22e, 22L, 22s, I have no idea which one to buy. Anyone using this product? Should I be using a different one for interior and exterior on the 928?

Stabilant? Do you mean Stabilizer, as in fuel?

No, it's a solution that you place on your electrical contacts to enhance conductivity while protecting against corrosion; it's been mentioned here before and I went to their website to order it (spring cleaning of the electrical syystem time) but they now market FIVE different types and I don't know which one to use, they being expensive I only want to buy the one I need.

Use the 22A and then for external use find a protectant spray to use after the connections have been mated to seal against the elements - contact protectant or battery terminal spray - there are many versions. The primary purpose is to seal out moisture & oxygen to limit deterioration from oxidation.

Thanks everyone.

O.K., 22a ordered. Contact protectant?? Uhhh, used to scrape off the corrosion with a knife, clean it up with steel wool, use WD40, blow it dry, and put this generic stuff called 'liquid rubber' around the wires entrance into the plug, and smear it around the joint where the plugs met, kind of sealed it from the elements and it never caused a problem but I figure that was years ago, and the stabilant stuff might be newer, shinier, better technology though.

Battery terminal spray? God I'm in the dark ages. Vasiline on the post, tapped the clamp on, tighten, spray with WD40, clean with alcohol, paint with whatever leftover spray paint I had. Batteries usually lasted 5 years, I thought that was good. My only upgrade to this with this car was those funny felt red and green rings under the posts.

Looks like a trip to napa is in the works for new chemicals. I did try the CRC MAF spray cleaner, which seemed to work nice though.
