Default Upgrading my 85 Euro trans to LSD what would it cost?

I've saved a bunch of money and sort of sick of just 1 wheel spinning for take off and wonder what costs and parts I'd need for LSD?

I have no clue what I need, anybody do that before advise?

Current tranny has 60,000 on it and works well.

Just the slip and a couple shims gaskets and seals should do it. Trans really should be out of the car for the set up on the ring and pinion gears.

I was next in line (after you) to buy that '85 euro a few years ago, and found out it had no LSD. It looked nice though.

Hi JIM

You said "should" be out of the car, does that mean its possible to fit an LSD with the axle/box STILL in the car ??

All the best Brett

You must pull the axles remove the input flanges to get the ring carrier out of the box. Working with dial indictors up over your head trying to get the ring and pinion loading right would not be much fun I think it is however POSSIBLE....

Next in line?

Did you have an issues on LSD? Its nice if it had that but not a deal breaker for me. I'm taking good care of her, this shark is in awesome shape. However SeanTT shark seems like one I'd want just as much as this one.

I ended up finding my '87 5 speed with lsd after that. I left a donut in the parking lot of a Ferrari dealership recently...
