Man that is just great. I can second the emotion, the GT is an animal, especially above 4,000 rpm.

Do yourself a favor and get the RMB. Every time I drive Gretch it is an adrenalen rush......

Wow! Thanks to all of you for the good wishes. I can't wait to pick it up tommorow!

As to Pohlposition, yes, I've heard about his prior Porsche 944 and how mint that was as well. I'm meticulous but according to Susan @ Devek he is top of the heap.

We spoke for a while and I would not at all be surprised to see him either in a 944 Turbo or a Audi S4 (or both!). He seems hooked on turbo cars and misses that feel. He lives at a higher altitude than most and NA cars are robbed of some significant power under those circumstances.

That picture of the 928GT next to the Viper is just awesome! Amazing how these cars still look cutting edge beautiful nearly 30 years after their initial design. Good design NEVER looks old.

Seth,

Congratulations on your new toy. I think everyone drooled over that car at last year's SITP. Once you drive it home, you'll have to spend a lot of time to clean it up... not.

Excellent ending to one man's luv story Seth!!!

Do tell though as I'm sure we are all wondering... did you just pick up the phone to Pohlposition and begged him like hell to show mercy on you and to help ease your pain by selling you the GT

Actually, I was talking to M @ Devek and he just suggested that I make an offer on the car that was sufficient to cause interest. Susan then called Pohlposition on Tuesday and he was open to hearing offers. We talked for 20 minutes, I made him an offer, he countered and I took his number. I was not letting this one slip away.

Many thanks to Devek for helping out on this one. It would not have happened but for their involvement. Neither would I have sold my old car without there help either.

Lifetime customer here.

Congratulations Seth! I can't believe how quickly you've found the right car. And so nearby. No transport companies, no flights to the east coast, no delusional midwest dealer pricing, etc. Taken all together, it's a bargain.

You should bring it out to the PCA concours in Danville on 5/25(?). People will be blown away by such a well-preserved example. It looks like there will be at least a few 928's there this year.

Dang - and I thought I had a chance to win that concourse... Just kidding! Seth: I'd be as happy to see you win the 928 class as I was when Steve won the car cover at SITP.

Congratulations on the purchase! Just so everyone can see, here's the car.

If it's as clean as you say, all you have to do is maintain it at that level. That's a hack of a lot easier than taking an abused car and bringing it up to that level. Happy driving home!
