DFW Bids Farwell to Ed Hughes Party
On this coming Saturday at Enriques on 407. Same shopping center as our monthly gatherings, just on the back side.
The start time is 5:30 - 6pm and lasts until we get Ed to pass out, he will not be allowed to drive this evening. Doing a bit of an earlier start since we have a special guest in town, the one and only James Morrison.
I'm going to stop by Enriques tomorrow evening and see if they will reserve us a spot on the patio, away from the karaoke/DJ booth, this way we might be able to converse amongst each other.
Also, we have a nice "little" surprise for Mr. Hughes that will need everyones help with, give me a call if you need more info.
Ed has been a huge contribution to our DFW 928 club and we are all a bit sad to see him go, none more than my step daughter. (He was supposed to crew chief her go carting career) :P Ed has been there for every gathering from the beer drinking, to getting his hands dirty every chance he could, at the tech sessions. The kind of guy that is always willing to help a guy out. He's hosted many tech sessions and always had food, drinks, cigars, and a great joke as a host. California has gained one hell of a nice guy and fellow Porsche enthusiast. One guy that I am proud to call a friend.
Hope to see everyone there, and I'm sure he'd like to say bye bye.

For most of us, Ed's as close as ever. However, I still haven't forgiven him for selling the beautiful white 928. How could he do a thing like that?

He's joining SoCal.
I don't see them posting regular outings so it may be a little different for him out there?! Anyhoo, he'll only bring good things out there, except he's coming out WITHOUT a 928!!
Trying to make it out there Ed, heading back from Scottsdale in 2 days!

Since he hangs with the 9-one-one crowd too, should we invite them?
hehehehe, I'm sending a message to a couple of them that I know.

I'll have to miss this one. My wife and I will be out in the middle of the ocean by the end of Saturday on the way to Cozumel. Next time Ed. Somehow I know we haven't seen the last of you.......
