Guys I took my 81 in to a local shop to have the windows tinted. They quoted me 325.00 for the job. That seems crazy to me. I was wondering what you guys paid. Jason

 

I had my 1982 done three years ago and the price was $125.00

Anyone in the dallas or oklahoma city area have an input on this?

 

I was quoted $320 but haven't had it done yet.
I found a few who were quoting around $200 but they were young punks who promised to have it done in an hour...their shop was empty.
The guy who wanted $320 was finishing a job and said once he started it would take 3 or 4 hours at least...
I think I'll pay the higher price...but I won't be leaving him my keys

 

Middle Missouri, $225-$250, 5 windows.

 

The rear quarter windows are a PITA to tint. Other than that its pretty straight forward.

 

They look like they would be.

 

That seems ok to me. But I'm in Southern Kalifornia so it seems kind of high for Oklahoma.

Still I like mine.

Mine was about $175 in VA.

 

Jason, I think that is about what one of the local Porsche dealers gets for doing it. I am pretty sure you could do better than that.

 

I've had 3 928s tinted, $150-$175 on "virgin" windows. The same shop has also tinted two other cars for me too, similar price range. They do the Porsche, BMW, Lexus, & Jaguar dealers' cars too here. The Llunar tint is what they use also. If you have tint on your windows now, they charge about $50-100 to remove it depending upon the type of car, so that could add to your costs.

 

Paid $150 in New York a few years back. Then I moved to CT and they made me take it off!

 

I do have the old tint on there. Maybe I'll take it off and see what the charge. I tinted several other cars when I was younger. I may just try this car since they don't look too bad except for the rear quarter windows.
