I recently purchased a used center console. My old leather one has only one hole for the clock but the vinyl one has a hole on each side of the clock. My car is a 1980. Could someone tell me what the other two holes are for.

Tim,
On my 79, the left is the emergency flasher switch and the right is the seat belt warning light.

Anthony,
Just check mine and indeed, the left hole is for rear A/C and right for the fan speed. Guess it depends on which options you have. Hmmmmm.
Cheers

The center console has changed mulitple times throughout the 928s life. Initially, there were three round items in the console, as Anthony describes. Then there was a round clock. Then there was a digital clock. Then the rear AC option came up. To the best of my knowledge rear AC became standard on '87 US models (not Canada - they got heated seats instead).
The 80 model should have one round cutout for the clock. I don't know, if the later consoles can be modified to accommodate the round clock. However, the factory rootwood option used a round clock from the 924 S, possibly with a modified later model console.
