Red face My Floor is HOT!

It's about 75 degrees here in Mo-town today, so when I put my hand on the metal beneath my driver's side floor mat, I was surprised to feel that it was pretty hot. Is this normal? Is it a sign that my cats are too hot/clogged? Something else?

Pardon me if this is a silly question....I just never noticed it before.

Sounds like you got the diagnosis right. Nice pictures on your site.

Remember Dave,

There are no stupid questions, only inquisitive idiots!!

Being that I remember much the same issue with mine (when it ran, of course), I was wondering if the aftermarket units for the 85-86(not 1/2) are good buys. Do they alter the exhaust note negatively? Any feedback from someone that is using one?

Thanks,
Shawn

Well, the quote I several weeks ago about having the crossover cat-bypass for $350 is sounding better if my cats are stuffed. I just can't make up my friggin' mind. I suppose I could sell the new bypass set-up to another 85-86 shark owner if I didn't like it. Oh decisions! Decisions!
