I've got the same problem. It's in the tracks, it's already been repainted once, and it only rubs once in a while. But once in a while is enough to make it look bad.
Mine scratches near the middle. The roof is properly positioned when closed, so I'm at a loss why it continues to scratch.

I'm eventually going to repaint my car true black, as it came from the factory. Until then...I'll just live with the scratched sunroof.
I was able to buff out most of the scratches. You can hardly see them anyway...
But it makes me think of shipping the sunroof panel up to my friend in Monroe, Michigan who does the Linex bed liners...and having him linex the thing!

My sunroof did the same thing. Scratched the paint in several places. I thought I had something jammed in there like a small pebble or twig. I tore it all apart and fouled the air with repugnant language.
Even went so far as to buy another sunroof panel in good condition the same color as my car as a replacement.
Finally, I figured it out. There are plastic blocks (one on each side of the opening) to which the front of the sunroof panel is screwed. 2 screws each. If you remove the screws the panel can be lifted out. The blocks seem to be attached to the cable. They control the relative height of the panel in the opening, and thus, if they are loose, the panel will not follow the ideal path as it moves rearward. In that event, it will jam and scratch as it rocks on the way back. I tightened the screws and no more scratching and jamming.
Of course the paint was screwed. But I stashed the aforementioned cherry panel in the garage for the future.
You will need to loosen the upholstery panel and slide it backward out of the way to access the loose screws in the black plastic blocks. It seems easier to see from inside of the car.
If you still have trouble, email me and I can explain further.

What is a screw pin? Explain to me exactly the location of these and what you are doing.
Unless you have a broken part, this adjustment is rather easy.
GIve me your best explanation and I will walk you through it.

BTW, you don't have to have your sunroof repainted. You just need to compound and glaze with maybe some touch up paint in spots. Cut it down with a 2000 grit Meguires sanding block and your looking fresh again.
If you need to know this proceedure, let me know.
